Another failing attempt with Def Jam in 2005. There was a new artist they just signed. I don’t remember the name but they were looking for southern type of beat. Recorded the song. Def Jam ended up dropping him. Project gone into pooper. Fun fun.

This screamed “Missy Elliot & Ludacris” to me so I pitched it to her label. The A&R at the time really liked it and was just about to finalize the deal, but he then got fired. The new A&R wasn’t too crazy about the song so it fell through. I’m not really into remaking old songs but the original is amazing. This beat samples Musical Youth - Pass The Dutchie.

The mother of all failures. This song literally went through 20 different artists from G Unit to Def Jam to Koch to Interscope and finally ended up in the trash can a year later. This was a never ending battle. Created on Fruity Loops, used Edirol Orchestral Synthesizer (one of the best string synth ever)

So I get a call from my manager at the time saying “I need some hot ‘Lil Jon’ish beats for this new girl Ciara.” I was like “Who the F. is Ciara? Give my beats out to someone famous” (LOL) This was just before Ciara became CIARA. I sent him “Like That” and he called me back a week later saying “Ciara LOVED it and we will record it ASAP”. Then he disappears 3 days later and I literally never heard from him ever…wonderful.
