This screamed “Missy Elliot & Ludacris” to me so I pitched it to her label. The A&R at the time really liked it and was just about to finalize the deal, but he then got fired. The new A&R wasn’t too crazy about the song so it fell through. I’m not really into remaking old songs but the original is amazing. This beat samples Musical Youth – Pass The Dutchie.
